Hi! My name is Beth Malandain, and I am an industrial designer currently living in Boston, MA.
Almost a decade ago, I landed my dream job designing exhibits at the Museum of Science in Boston. As a 3d designer, I work to develop the look and feel, material selections, flow, 3d user interaction, kiosk design, and CAD construction drawings for the museum temporary and permanent exhibitions. Some of my recent contributions include The Science Behind Pixar traveling exhibit, which is now multilingual and traveling nationally and internationally.
I have recently realized that my hobby is working on my home. From designing closets to new rooms with built-ins, I revel in creating and implementing clean design that results in highly functional and organized spaces.
Born and raised in Baltimore MD, I grew up with a love of art, exploring materials, and understanding how things work. I began designing furniture professionally in 2005 for David Edward, a family-owned contract furniture company located in Baltimore. In 2007, I moved to Brooklyn, NY to attend Pratt Institute for a Masters Degree in Industrial Design where I discovered a love of environmental, educational, and user-centered design.
I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org. Questions, comments, freelance inquiries, and general merriment are welcome and encouraged!
