Hi, I’m Beth!

Over the past 15 years, I have helped companies, museums, and cultural centers envision and create spaces that better serve them and their audiences.

However, my path to exhibition design was not a straightforward one!

Born and raised in Baltimore MD, I grew up with a love of art, exploring materials, and understanding how things work. I began designing furniture professionally in 2005 for David Edward, a family-owned contract furniture company located in Baltimore.

Feeling that I was close but still missing something, in 2007, I moved to Brooklyn, NY to attend Pratt Institute for a Masters Degree in Industrial Design where I discovered a love of environmental, educational, and user-centered design. During my studies, my thesis advisor told me that he saw that I was an educator at heart and suggested that I consider designing exhibits. It was like a light bulb had illuminated above me!

Since then, I have found that I am passionate about creating spaces where the needs of many different people are considered, while also prioritizing beauty and comfort so everyone wants to stay and engage. Accessibility, Universal Design, and Inclusion are always enveloped in my work. My superhero power is being able to take amorphous ideas from team discussions or client’s minds and translate them into visuals that propel projects forward into completion.

For the past decade, I worked as an exhibit designer at the Museum of Science, Boston where I designed countless temporary and permanent exhibitions including The Hall of Human Life, The Science Behind Pixar, and Engineering Design Workshop.

Let’s talk!
