MAIN CHALLENGE
Designing and installing a custom Built-In Bookcase/Desk that can maximize the wall space in our small home office and overcome the difficulties in the space such as a floor grate and a very out-of-level floor while keeping the costs under $4k.  

 I achieved a competitive price by working with a local fabricator to combine their stock pieces and add a minimal amount of customization. I had them add levelers to the furniture to deal with our old wonky floor. To cut down on costs, I scribed the sides into the uneven wall myself, and added baseboards to the hide the levelers. Thank goodness the whole unit is white- I used enough caulk to sink a ship to make it look seamless and hide all of the mistakes!
